Does not display any note
This is my first time using MuseScore to write my song. I bought a Korg microKey for this. I am able to connect the microKey with a red light on so that means there is power. Then I went to Preferences > I/O and the MIDI input shows the software detected the microKey. However, by some strange reason, the sound coming out from my MacBook (macOS Mojave Version 10.14.5) is very low even I turn to full volume and my microKey doesn't have a volume button. I tested my MacBook sound by playing some videos and that was perfectly fine. I choose from I/O device is Built-in Output.
Also I tried putting MIDI Output into CoreMIDI, microKey 2 CTRL but no note can be displayed on music sheet. I don't know what went wrong. Please help.

Did you turn on the midi device before starting musescore? That is necessary.

Yes. I plug in my midi device before starting MuseScore. I found something that is very strange. When I change the MIDI input latency to 999ms. The sound is louder but still there is no note is displayed on my music sheet. Is choosing microKey2 CTRL as my MIDI output correct? Thanks for your patience.

My knowledge of midi is that you must turn on the device before starting MuseScore. It's a very common mistake. Someone familiar with how to set up midi devices needs to help you now. It's getting late in Europe where most of the people on the forum are, so be patient and someone will help you.

thanks. mike. It is 3:30am in my region. I need to sleep now.
What happens, if you connect your midi keyboard, start MuseScore, take your settings in edit->preferences...->I/O, close MuseScore and start the application again (IIRC it only worked for me with Linux sometimes).

I did this procedure many times. May be it is the problem of the microKey. I will take back to the store tomorrow. thanks Kuwitt.

Maybe for a similar forum topic I found see here: https://musescore.org/en/node/280159.
So maybe check, if it works with MuseScore 2.3.2: https://musescore.org/en/download#older-versions

Maybe a 32bit driver that the 64bit MuseScore doesn't like?
Not sure, I think the 3.0 Beta that thread is about might have still been 32bit
You say no notes appear, but are you actually in note input mode? Be sure to read the Handbook on how note input works in MuseScore.

Thanks for your insight. I forgot to press the N key to start my work. It works perfectly now. Thanks so much. Really appreciate that.
