Finding instruments.xml for v2.3.2 on Ubuntu 16.04
I am writing a suite in which I would like to include a rainstick. Since Musescore 2.3.2 does not come with a rainstick, I am attempting to add it to the instruments.xml. Even after fairly extensive research on the topic, I still could not find the file. Please help me find it because I am eager to add it. Thank you.

I'm assuming this is an un-pitched percussion instrument. Add the instrument that sounds closest to it and change the name to a rainstick. Since you are writing a suite, Save a copy of the score into the custom templates folder before you get too far along with the score. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/create-new-score#user-templates-fol…. It doesn't matter what is already in the score, it will act just like any other template, though the preview of the template may show notes in it.
