stretching / condensing measures - what am I doing wrong?
Attaching two screen shots.
1) I have things arranged the way I want them
2) after I hit "save"
That all I did. No formatting, no page breaks. All I did was click "save" and it re-formatted the measure spacing all by itself.
How do I stop this from happening?

Can you attach the score and help us understand what you are doing?
Does it still happen? Can you tell us how to make it happen again in your score? It sounds similar to some other bugs, but not exactly and we'd be interested to know if it's one that's been fixed for the next release already.
Very hard to tell what triggered it without the score itself.
Something made the relayout think that those two measures can't fit on the same line.
I'm using the newest version of Musescore. Never had this type of issue with the 2.?? version, but I've created a few new scores on ver. 3 that ver. 2 won't open - so, it does me no good to 'downgrade' ...
LOVE the programmers, best program out there! Just can't figure this out.
I'll post the score when I get home for lunch, if you think it'll help.

Please attach a score (.mscz file, not a picture) that shows this behavior and explain how to make it happen. We won't be able to fix it with out this.

Are you sure it's the newest version (3.1)? My best guess from the picture is you are seeing a bug that was fixed in 3.1, where measures containing the "repeat measure" symbol would get wider and wider with each operation.

no repeats, yet ;-)

I am taking about the measure repeat symbols in the drum part.
downloaded ver 3.1 ... apparently it's fixed!
Thank you Marc Sabatella!

The first thing I notice is that you are using version 3.0.5. I get a quite different display using 3.1. I suggest you upgrade to that (or wait a few days and get 3.2 when it comes out) and see what happens then.
