how to make tempo changes in the middle like half notes going to be dotted half-notes?

There a metric modulations in the Tempo palette of the Advanced workspace.

They should be calculating the tempo change (and did that back when implemented, but unfortunatly that functionality broke at some point, see #277320: Metric modulations AKA relative tempos don't set tempo right)

is there a possibility to get the playback right in the next future?
is there a possibility to add half and whole notes (instead of writing it with text and make the quarter notes invisible)

I hope so, that's what the issue I linked to is about. Workaround is to use them and set the temp in Inspector after having calculated yourself
I don't understand what you mean here? You can certainly use the F2 special charaters palette to add those glyphs into a tempo text
