Muting a part
How can I mute the playback of a particular part in a score? Reason - some of the downloaded music is too high for my tuba player, so i want to create a new part for him, and move some of the high notes to the euphonium. I'd like to mute the playback of the original tuba line to hear the results.

...or M to mute an instrument.
or , for a little section, uncheck "lecture" in the inspector (MS 2.3)

Ah! I can usually understand in spite of the French accent you type with. That's Play in English. Removing that check in the inspector (F8) will only mute a single note at a time. This is a fine way if the user wants to turn of the note all the time. In version 3.2.3 you can solo and mute individual voices or the entire instrument in the mixer (F10) and is probably a better solution for the OP's question.
I'm curious why you still use 2.3.

I often use this way to mute, not a single note, but , every selection I want, with "select all similars elements" it's quick and it works. For exemple, in a concert band, all my trumpets, in the middle of the song, stop playing and Clap Hands. I write the clap with cross-head notes, but I must mute this sequence, I use uncheck PLAY , of course I write a new pist for the Hand Clap and I make it invisible.
For MS 3, I must but, I am always on a work , and I'm afraid too change when in a work......and , when I stop......I never stop, I always 3 works in the same time !!!
