Guitar Score Symbols
Hello everyone!
I recently came across a guitar score where the symbols appear as attached.
These would be related to "half lash" and "full lash" and indicating the house on the guitar.
Could you tell me how I make these symbols in Musescore?
I would also like to know which symbol and how I indicate the direction of playing with the pick (up or down) on a guitar for example.
Thank you!

Full/Half barrè ? To be gound in the Symbols palette of the master paletter under Guitar
For up/down you could use arpeggios or Strum direction up/down, also in that Symbols palette

Thank you very much for your attention!

These symbols (barrés and half barrés) are not in the Master Palette.
You have to create them. But see this thread and comment: https://musescore.org/en/node/136976#comment-936507
(you have just to load this specific palette - .mpal format - to get what you want, see top of the mentioned thread)

They are in the master palette. Or better: there are symbols with those names in the master palette's symbols palettre, they do look different though

As said above: View > Master Palette (or Sift+F9) > Symbols > Guitar, the last 2 symbols there ("C" and "1/2C")

Symbols, of course. But we are not connected on the same wavelength. My proposal to the user was to load the specific palette attached in the previous comment, ready for use and which can always be used again (with lines and frets numbers already done)

Thank you friend!
Read everything you mention in the link provided.
As I do not speak English very well, I am in doubt. Could you guide me how do I attach this ready palette in the group to the other palettes in Musescore.
Do I have to create a custom palette and drag?
This is of great value for my learning and teaching and thank you very much!

You have first to create a custom workspace (if this is not already done?), see: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/workspaces#create-custom-workspace
then right-click a palette -> Load palette, so, the attached .mpal file, that's all.

All right friend!
I learned safely and correctly. The palette is already in my Musescore.
Would it really be necessary to create a custom palette?
Because I just right-clicked the area of the pellets and loaded it, fixed normally.
How wonderful!!
I really want to thank you for your help ...

@mjbartemusica1, If the translation confuses you, it's the same thing you did when you made your flamenco palette. You can use the same workspace if you want to.

Ok Mike!
The translation is often well understood.
I understood your guidance though, it wasn't me who created the flamenco palette.
Friendly hug!

Alright Jojo!
After using this main palette "F9" for symbols, it is very useful to activate the shortcut "Ctrl T" for possible completion.
I learned safely from your teachings, I have much to thank.

I know you've found an answer, but I'll just add that the roman numeral version is also in the default pallet labelled "Lines" as "VII---------". This is the one I use - it's just personal preference but I find it more flexible because you can easily describe the number of strings to bar.
For half I add the symbol ½ in front - it takes up less room than 1/2 (one character instead of 3).
You can also have ⅚VII---------, but there is no single character for 2/6 and 4/6.
But with the link above to the custom pallet I might change my style :-)

This is not Roman numeral analysis, but a barree line. RNA will be in the upcoming 3.3

Thanks Jojo. I must be using it wrong :-) I will continue to do so as it works for me. Simply select the notes and click on the roman numeral line, edit the text and I have a perfect (well for me) barre line.

You can of course missuse it that way, you can even disable the line (or rather: make it invisible)

If I'm understanding correctly, this is the intended use of that line. Barre lines and Roman numeral analysis both involve Roman numerals, true, but they are unrelated otherwise. From what I am understanding, no one in this thread is talking about Roman numeral analysis, only barre lines.

Hmm, OK, guess I read it wrongly then

Borrowing from violin, down bow and up bow can be used to denote plectrum (pick) movement. The symbols are found in the Articulations palette.
