I cannot properly use the left click menu in a selection (MuseScore 3)
I have around 20 measures I have to delete from a score, and my only issue is I cannot just select them all and delete them. To select the measures, I hold down shift and drag the mouse over the measures. Then I left click inside the selection to access the options. The only issue is that when I do that, Musescore deselects the selection, and even though I have the left click menu open, options that are supposed to affect the selection no longer do anything but close the menu. This is an issue because I can no longer do anything to selections except move or delete them with the keyboard controls.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do exactly, but there is no left click menu, nor is there ever one in pretty much any application, for this very reason - left click is for making selections. Instead, the menu is right click.

Oh no. I got the left and rights wrong on the mouse again. Darn. The issue still stands though.

Really? After selecting somethng you find right click causes a problem? If so, can you attach your score and give precise steps to reproduce the problem?

What I did was selected multiple measures and right clicked on them. The selection disappeared and I could not delete the measures all at once. I already deleted the measures, but I can upload the score if you want to toy around with it.

Since the measure are gone, I assume everything now works? If you try to select other measures (say, measures 1-2, viola part) then right-click within the selection rectangle, it works as expected, correct? It does for me.

No it doesn't. I deleted the measures one at a time.

The picture appears to show the menu appearing just fine. But I do also see the selection rectangle is not displaying even though the status bar says it is there. So is that what you mean - the menu appears, but in the process, the selection disappears?
If so, this sounds like a mouse (or touchpad) driver issue - somehow your gesture is sending both signals. Check the settings in your OS, update the driver if necessary.

Still stands, you mean right click displays the menu but selection is lost?
By the way, once you have done your selection, press ctrl+del on keyboard will delete the measures quicker than using menu.
