breaking up the notes
Thank you for your response. However, I meant to ask a question how to set the score up so that one 8th note, for example, would not automatically tied up to its next one. I am sorry, if I don't make the sense.
I want to know how to let 8th valuenotes stand by itself, instead of being tied up with other ones int he measure.

Notes are never automatically tied, I guess you mean beamed?
