It's not really clear what you asking here. Tuplets are something very specific: a group of notes in something other than the standard number per grouping. For instance, three quavers in a single beat of 4/4, rather than the usual two. Tuplets are created using Add / Tuplets or the corresponding shortcut, see the Handbook for more.
You are probably actually asking about beams, so the Handbook page referenced in the previous response may help. But if not, please attach your score and describe in more detail what you are wanting.
