Qns: How to insert or change the notehead to a band diamond?
By band “diamond” I’m referring to the notation the symbolizes holding the chord, it’s pretty commonly seen in contemporary band chart for pop music. Right now the only “diamond” notehead I see on the palate is the small diamond that means harmonic. The only closer option I have is the insert a semibreve (whole note) and then toggling that into slash notation.

I'm wondering if maybe you mean rhythmic slash notation - see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tools#toggle-rhythmic-slash-notation

The picture you show looks exactly like that to me, it just happens to be a whole note rather than some other note. Did you try it? Do you have examples of this notation used somewhere else to get a better idea of the context for it?

@zanamusic: I'm currently using MuseScore 3.4.1, and in the Noteheads palette (see attached image), second column, third row - is that diamond symbol what you're looking for?
