When I press MIDI Keyboard key or pad nothing is assigned. ??
Actually I want to assign shortcuts to the "Pads" rather than MIDI Keys. Is it possible?

Wrong dialog. read that Handbook page again. It's the Note Input tab you want, not the Shortcuts tab - Shortcuts is for the computer keyboard.
As for which buttons on your particular model of keyboard will work, there is no way for us to know, if it sends recognizable MIDI data then probably, just try it and find out - once you've verified you have the process working using standard keys.
