Does 'get back my selection' exist ?

Before introducing a feature request, checking if 'get back my selection' exists ?
Suppose you have selected a long series of non adjacent notes by ctrl + click
Then you click on one more note but your finger "forgets" to keep ctrl pressed.
Long selection lost :-(
Is there a way to get it back ?
