About possible new keyboard shortcuts
I know that is a cruel and hurtful thing to say, but I wish I could bind a keystroke to "Reset Audio and MIDI devices".

It just needs to be exposed to plugins and you could do that.

That's an idea, I think it ought be a more accessible UI artifact, but, of course, the real thing is to figure out why it is needed at all (and I have no idea how to access "tell me when audio configuration changes" of any of our OS's (but it's only a problem for Mac, I gather)).

I've seen situation where Windows upgraded and this fixed MuseScore. The location of the button seems logical to me. One should normally check this tab before pressing that button, but if it's an ongoing problem, then there should be a more permanent fix.
I agree it would be very nice to understand why this is needed and fix it. I thought I remembered that happening sometimes in the last year or so but apparently not.
Meanwhile, a shortcut could be nice, or perhaps a toolbar icon. I'd trade it for the MIDI input toggle I don't think I've ever used in nine years with MuseScore.

Oh, the one that always reselects itself and doesn't do anything because I don't have a midi input device? Good idea but it might be useful to others.

It is a constant problem on the Mac -- plugin in or unplug headphones, and you lose audio until the "fix me" button is pushed. It was not a problem a year or two back. There's an "issue" long time filed.
