Seems to work here in my current score.
Any specific location you're adding it to? End of line/section; master score or in a part?

I posted about this some time ago, and have not had it happen again until today.

Double clicked end repeat barline in palette
Score is happy and updated..
I've known your quality of posting around here for long enough to definitely know that this is a bug in action, but it seems very hard to reproduce the conditions in which it happens :'(

Ah, perhaps it is not critical but I DRAGGED it, made sure the bar was highlighted.

No luck so far.
Both from the barlines as from the repeats&jumps palette dragging works out for me.
