slurs
I know how to indicate a slur, but cannot make it sound like it. I hear between the higher and lower note al intermediate notes, and not a scale-free lowering sound like you hear from a synthesizers or a guitar bending from a b to a c for instance.
I that possible in Musescore? (I managed to make it audible in Melody Assistant (but this program has overall less features than Musescore.

No, it is not (yet), except by using the Piano Roll Editor and tweak those notes so they overlap
Guitar bends are possible though

Thank you. I will try that (but first have to find out how it works).
It sounds to me you are talking about "glissando" and not slur. A slur is just way to make to notes be played in sequence without and "space" between, and no new "attack" on the second note. See the Wikipedia explanation
But glisandos also is not played correctly by MuseScore for all instruments, like trombone and timpani right now.

portamento though is in the works, see #127341: Add Glissando playback style portamento
Still slured notes, on some instruments like flutes, should be lacking the attack of the 2nd and subsequent notes
