Readability of downloaded score
I downloaded the 2nd movement piano solo from Ravel's Piano Concerto, but the score is very small and hard to read. How can I enlarge it?

For viewing, zooming in should be possible.
For export/printing, you might scale up the score in page settings: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/page-settings#scaling

I can view it in a larger size just fine. out. When I try to print it out however, it goes right back to the small size. I'd like to be able to enlarge and crop so that I can piece it together, but can't seem to be able to do it.

Then I guess you are using the on-screen zoom only. As mentioned, to actually change the size of notation, go to Format / Page Settings and increase the scaling (staff space size) there.

Hmm, I'm also not understanding what you mean about wanting to crop and piece together. That shouldn't be necessary at all. After increasing the staff size, just print normally. No need to crop anything or piece anything together. MuseScore automatically does everything correctly when you increase the staff size, reducing the number of measures per system, number of systems per page, etc. So, literally just increase the print size then print, no additional steps.

I'm trapped in PDF land not in Musecore and have no control over the document. I tried taking screen shots: nope. I even took pictures with my smart phone, emailed them to myself and cropped them to size. That got me closer. It would have been easier if I had been able to download it in MuseScore. Maybe that's the question I should have been asking.

Well.. you can't really blame us for assuming your post was about MuseScore; you are on the MuseScore forums after all...
For printing PDFs your viewer might have some scale and tiling options, but that's really out of scope on these forums.

Well, heck. I downloaded it from the Musescore site and it didn't dawn on me that that's where the trouble lay until a few minutes ago. I thank everyone for their input. Maybe there's a pdf forum I can bother.

In that case consider downloading the actual score instead, then use the suggested method of page scaling options in the notation software itself.

I HAVE used the notation software and I find it easier than Finale. I thought I WAS downloading the actual score in Musescore, but I don't believe I was given the option. Is there a way to do that?

When you press the download button on a score there a pop-up appears where you can choose the file format you wish to use. The MuseScore format is first in the list. PDF, MIDI, MusicXML and others are listed in that same pop-up.
