Removing Parts without Runtime Error
I am running MuseScore 2.02 on Windows 7. I have 3 clarinet parts and 1 bass clarinet part that have barlines stretching across all 4 parts as if the staves are part of 1 instrument (like with piano), but in the instruments dialog they are separate instruments. Upon deleting the bass clarinet part, a runtime error message comes up and musescore crashes. Does anyone know how to make it its own separate staff or how to safely delete it?

can you share the score?
If you want to shorten the barlines, you can use the Inspector (for a single barline) or double click the barline then grab the handle and set ist lenght (all other barlines folloe as soon as you hit Esc)
The crash you saw maybe related to #94711: Crash when saving after deleting a staff from grand staff in score with parts, if so it is fixed in 2.0.3
The barlines themselves aren't a problem, but they probably have something to do with it

Really looks like the fixed issue I've mentioned, it indeed had to to with barline span.
Just grab 2.0.3 and try whether it still crashes for you, it doesn't for me, I am on 2.0.3 already.
Is this what you want the barlines to look?
