Grace note chords
I'm using version 0.9.4 with Windows XP.
I want to create a chord of grace notes. I created the chord with normal notes and then dragged the grace note from the palette to the notes of the chord, one after the other, but the grace notes become consecutive notes, not a chord. Is there any way of doing this?
This seems to be the opposite problem to what someone else had here: http://www.musescore.org/en/node/273
Many thanks.

Select the grace note and press Shift+[ABCDEFG] to add a note. It looks that mouse input does not work.

werner, that works to produce the note heads, but when I tried it the lower gracenotes were tailess.
I believe that paulxiii wants to input something that looks a little like the attached. Those portamento lines are desirable in the notation, I could only input one.

Wow. It worked! And I didn't have flameproof's problem of missing stems either.
Now to figure out those glissando/portamento lines...

Paul you can add only one glissando/portamento (actually, I mean, I can add only one, perhaps the program will do it for you) -- but it is possible to crudely approximate the gliss with a straightened-out slur.

The way I was copying the music was having those initial chords split over 2 voices with the grace chord in the upper voice with the final chord (see 1st attachment).
The portamento's seem to only allow one per voice and I don't know how to move or adjust them. When I drag the glissando to the G in the top voice it automatically creates a little gliss between the the 2 C's of the grace note and the final chord. And when I drag a gliss to either one of the E or C in the lower voice it create a gliss between the C's of the initial chord and the final chord, ignoring the grace note (see 2nd attachment).
What would be ideal is to be able to choose which 2 notes one wants the glissando between and whether or not one wants the "gliss" text added. I noticed that between notes which are further apart the "gliss" text is added automatically.
I tried the slurs which are far more customiseable (sp?), and even though they might not attach to the correct note heads, the shape can be dragged so that it looks correct. This could be a lack of knowledge on my part though.

I believe you can remove the gliss. text by right-clicking and choosing the Properties menu item.

Thanks David. I found that it works when the glissando isn't part of a chord. In the examples I posted above, I'm unable to select or right-click the glissando.
