Adding Tie with different note
Hi,
I tried to add a tie to two different note. What musescore did is musescore ties with the other same note along the way. Making the tie going across the score. I can manually readjust but I would like to know if there is a fix to this.
If I manually readjust, is it the same as non-manually readjust? The anchor still in the same position.
I prefer to auto tie different note. If possible, tell me.
Thank you.
p/s: no music background. so the description might be a little off.

BTW, how do you change the anchor point? There is one text I wanted to change to other point because the wording is too long and it affecting the score.
Don't drag the anchors using the mouse, but use Shift+left/right instead
I'm puzzled how the lyrics dashes and underscores look, there seems to be a lot of manual positioning being done?

Thank you Jojo.
Shift didn't works for me. It is same with manual adjustment. The anchor point still remain the same point.

Please share the score. This slur continues on the next system or page, right?

It's the same score. Nope, it doesn't continue to the next page. When I said it's didn't work, I mean it the same with manual adjustment. It just move left/right. Sorry for that.
p/s: there are two photos. The first one you have to click to view.

Pictures of your score are not of much use here, we'd need the real score, the .mscz file.
To get rid of manual adjustments, select the slur and press Ctrl+R

Jojo,
I found out that Ctrl will move the tie faster. Is this legit?

Going through the tutorial just now. I accidentally found a keyboard shortcut by clicking "s" twice, the tie can be created between two different note. No manually or shift is needed. Is this good?

this still is a slur, not a tie...
In reply to Jojo, I found out that Ctrl by bassor001
no, that just moves it in biger steps, but doesn't Change the anchor
I believe this is called a slur.

indeed. a tie connects 2 notes of the same pitch, to form one longer note, a slur connects multiple notes of multiple pitches

Yep. I knew that.
Totally didn't guess it or anything...
