Accidental symbols inconsistent between different types of text
Accidental symbols in text (eg staff text) appear very small and centered on the line (like subscript). In chord symbols they appear normal. They should appear normal size in the 'normal' position and then subscript or superscript buttons would work as normal like other characters. The when you type a chord symbol the 'text' symbol appears and then changes to the symbol from a different font. Why are there different designs for the accidental symbols in the two different kinds of text?

example
Basically, MuseScore has two main sets of symbols that can be added to text. There are accidentals in each set of symbols. In one set, they're a certain size and alignment; in the other, they're a different size and alignment. Chord symbols draw from the set that works better; the ones that you see at the beginning of the Special Characters palette are the ones that work worse.
Getting the better ones front and center is in the works: #111856: Add Unicode accidentals to "Common Symbols" section of Special Characters In the meantime, it's ridiculously hard to find them, but the ones you want actually are available. Switch to the Unicode Symbols tab, then choose Miscellaneous Symbols in the sidebar.
