A music theory, not a Musescore question, but maybe someone might wish to answer for me?

• Sep 10, 2016 - 23:38

Are those 22 eighth notes in measure 5 of the attached, and, if so, how does it comply with the time signature of 3/4?

An inquiring mind wants to know......

Thank you.

I need to write in the staff some chords in notes, but what I have so far are
the chords in letters. I need to see in a staff
these chords written in notes: E-6 E-9 G#o7 F#Ø Dm9 BØ
Can somebody help me with this? It´s very important. Thanks

Can you explain further? Do you mean you need to know what notes as in an E-6 chord? Or you need to know how to enter those notes (E, G, B, C#)? Or you need to know how to enter that chord symbol? The last two questions can be answered by reading the appropriate sections of the Handbook (note input and chord symbols). To learn how to interpret chord symbols - to know what notes are in each chord - you might wish to consult a music theory textbook or find a web site that teaches these concepts. You could start with my free Jazz Improvisation Primer, available on www.outsideshore.com, but there are tons of other options out there as well.

FYI: I did not write this post which relates to chords but it keeps appearing within a post I did write.

I have already reposted it outside my own post for Herbie's benefit, but am still getting replies to his inquiry, which has nothing to do with mine. I don't want Herbie9 to miss out on answers to his question.

Thank you.

I am very sorry about the question I wrote in the post of Megan R. I just don't know how to make my own post, so, when I read the title of hers I though it was a good way to post my question, and I really appreciate the answer she gave me. So again I am sorry about that. and by the way... Megan, the chords you gave me were the correct ones. THANKS AGAIN!!!
