Request from a newbie: Assistance, please! :)
I am new to this program. After watching tutorials, have been reasonably successful in getting some notes and lyrics into the score. However, I have discovered some errors that I am trying to fix. After watching the tutorials again and finding no answers to my questions, I wrote to the home office and they pointed me toward the manual and the forum. In neither place have I been able to locate the answers I am seeking and I need to complete the project I'm working on, as I am to sing this composition on Sunday morning. I would be MOST grateful to have some solutions pointed out by anyone who is more experienced than I. Here follow my issues:
-Have discovered that I omitted a hyphen in a two-syllable word, so it only appears under one note when it should be hyphenated and split between two notes. When I try to retype it, it will enter the words, but on the line below and will not eliminate or correct the original line of lyrics. Is it possible to just delete the text that needs fixing and re-enter it correctly?
-I have asked for hyphens or spaces between words in some places, but they do not always appear in the line of lyrics. In places the lyrics are so tight in the space that there doesn't appear to be a space between the words, which makes it hard to read. Have tried to just go back and insert a space, but that doesn't work, any more than just trying to delete and re-enter the text does. How do I fix this issue?
-Have also had some trouble with copy and paste - I will select a section to be pasted farther along, but when I paste it into the measures, it's missing the last measure or two of the selected material. At this point I only copy a measure or two at a time and that seems to work, but it doesn't make sense that it won't copy the whole thing and reproduce it when I ask it to paste it in. Any suggestions as to the reason it's not taking the entire selected piece? Am I doing something wrong?

The better way to know is that you attach your score to your message.
Otherwise, we are left to speculate.
just double-click the sylable and edit it so it only has the 1st sylable, then hit - and type the 2nd sylable
If spaces / dashes don't appear, increase the spacing of your score, e.g. by manually applying System breaks (and the next version will have a setting for a minimum space and to force the dashes)
