Font problem on Ubuntu 11.10 with Musescore 1.1

Greetings!

I installed Musescore 1.1 first via the Ubuntu Software Center, and everything worked great.

However, after installing a bunch of other packages via aptitude and doing some other configurations, the notation font appeared distorted or incorrect (see attached screenshot). I tried uninstalling and re-installing, both via Ubuntu Software Center and aptitude, and still had the distorted/incorrect font issue.

Have others seen this? I hope there is an easy fix!
