Musescore 2.0.3 crashes at program launch in Windows 7
It says:"Program does not work any more", before even starting completely.
I tried uninstall and a new installation, does not help.
Any suggestions?

Is this happening ever since, or did MuseScore work before and just now started to crash on startup?

Thanks for the answer. Musescore once worked on the same computer two years ago, now it does not any more. I tried to stop all services that could be a reason (like Digidesign MMR Refresh)
I also tried the RUN dialog and "C:\Program Files\MuseScore 2\bin\MuseScore.exe" -F
Nothing hepled

Check antivirus permits and make sure that Windows Firewall is turned on (not sure if this can help you).
Have you upgraded to 2.0.3?

I closed the antivirus+firewall, did not help. And yes, 2.0.3

Hello,
I know that I am reviving a rather old thread but did you ever tried with no internet/intranet connection. Today I spent almost one and a half hour just to see that musescore on my machine would only start when I am offline.

There are 2 things MuseScore needs an online connection for: the update check, and the Start Center. Both can get disabled in preferences.

Well in fact the problem should be with one of that (that I also believe) but I could not disable them without opening the application first (I believe the factory settings would just enable them). I added the info for helping in troubleshooting however I am not sure that I have reproduced the exact problem mentioned in this thread.
Thanks for the info though.
