Drumset sounds for midi import

Hello everyone,

I'm a new user of musescore 1.1 (rev 4611) on Win 7. I have some rhythm tracks in .mid format that I've opened in musescore.

The drumset sounds are OK when I open the files in Finale Notepad or Windows Media Player, but in musescore they are quite different. I've looked at "edit drumset" but don't even see the sounds listed that I'm hearing. For example, I hear a whistle instead of the expected closed hi hat.

Any ideas?

I think I solved it, though this might be an issue to look into.

In order to get the expected drum sounds, I had to change to Drumset on the mixer (as expected), but then to get it to take effect, I had to change the sound to something other than standard, then switch it back to standard again. I had expected the sounds to switch as soon as I checked the drumset checkbox.
