If add tie from final note before 1st volta, then add receiving ties to first note after each volta that are the same pitch
When a note is tied into a repeat section, the tie should appear in both the '1' section and the '2' section if present. There seems no way to achieve this in musescore. A rare occasion where I can't get it to be musically correct !
I've attached my score as illustration. First note of the forst bar of the'B' section should be tied to the semi-breve before the first repeat (with a short tie to the left)
thanks
Kevin.

I feel you...I believe this has been reported before
https://musescore.org/en/search/site/tie%20repeat
I believe the solution lies in implementing #14437: Laissez Vibrer: Chords tied to nothing first, and then allowing that to be automatically applied to tied notes across voltas.
and also #17595: Notes receiving unconnected ties
I'm marking this issue as a duplicate of #17595: Notes receiving unconnected ties.
ahaha..jojo beat me!
Hypothetically could change this issue to be a feature request for:
if user press "+" at note before start of a volta, then in addition to creating a tie to the next note, also create an unconnected "receiving" tie to the note at the beginning of the next volta if those notes have the same pitch.
Excellent idea
If it's possible, please go for it.
I've upgraded this to a feature request and gave it a little wordy but precise title.
thanks for sorting this out and fixing my typos ! I look forward to this being fixed in future editions of this amazingly useful tool.
Kevin.
