Changing offset in volta makes no apparent difference

As I say in the subject.
I go to Text style, volta and adjust the offset. I see no difference at large numbers and rebooting the program.

How large are the changes you are making? I increased and decreased the vertical from .xx to 3.xx. Can't see a difference.
I have to set all voltas manually.

Thank you Jojo. That works well. I am also please to see that applying them and then cancelling them reverts.
This has lead to a couple of other questions/requests.
I will post this and see what the thoughts are.
Thanks again.
I see the same problem. Newly added voltas respect the style setting, but existing ones don't change. Same for other attributes—font, size, etc. Issue created: #180846: Existing voltas do not obey text style changes
