The entire computer is unable to play audio while musescore is open.
I've had this problem for a while now, sometimes I can fanagle it into working again but I've given up as repetition does not seem to always cause the same results.
Simply put, I open musescore, there is no sound. None from musescore, none from other windows, not even any from the volume adjustment bar when I alter the volume. Yes, I have done a factory reset. I have also looked at https://musescore.org/en/node/96811 and the solutions do not apply, as 1. is simply a description of a soundfont, 2. does not apply as I have the file specified, and 3. does not apply because View > Synthesiser does show a soundfont. I am strongly considering just trashing this software because of how buggy it is with my sound.
I have also checked Preferences > I/O and nothing that I change there fixes it either.

What version/revision of MuseScore and what Operating system? It happens with all the scores?
In reply to What version/revision of by Shoichi
All scores, the loss of audio occurs as musescore starts.
The operating system is Windows 10, on a relatively new computer.
Musescore SHOULD be the most up to date, seeing as I have done a factory reset and checked for updates, this is Musescore 2 Revision 3c7a69d , which seems consistent with my suspicion given the Version Information Page .

This seems computer specific problem (device, drivers, registry, automatic updates, etc)

Windows Audio troubleshooter does not resolve the issue.
Do you have any external midi devices connected to your computer?
It sounds as though there is some setting in windows that is the root of the problem. I don't have time at the moment to thoroughly research the possible causes, but you cannot give too much info about your system.

I do not have any external midi devices, I only have a bluetooth adapter and a speaker system for audio output and no audio input. I don't know what else would be relevant to the issue.
Do you have Asio4All in use with MuseScore?

Yes, I have Asio4All installed.

That's the culprit then, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/known-incompatibilities
