File Broken, Help Please?
This is an original composition that I've been working very hard on. The backup file is a hard day's work behind and it'd be really nice if someone knew what to do. Musescore just doesn't open the file anymore. There was one point where it would give me an error message, but only during a couple tries. It should be over 280 measures if anyone's able to open it.

Meanwhile: welcome on board, Franz.
It seems like the solution in the 'broken mscz file' post says to use V2. I'm not sure how to get it. I'm also a little new to this forum so I apologize if I don't do things the right way.

I have bad news.
I downloaded your file and, fist of all attempted to load it into 1.2, only to receive a "File not found" error.
On checking the file size it was only 275 bytes which suggested something was wrong.
I opened the zip file (yes the mscz file is actually a zip) and discovered that all that was inside was the xml wrapper - the score data was not present.
This means your work has been lost :(
YOu may be able to recover some of it by looking for MuseScore's backup file which will have the same filename, but with a comma added to the end of the file suffix.
This should contain the state of the file at the last autosave.
HTH
