i think this is a bug
if i try to make the c in the 5th bar from the 2nd system a half note, MS crashes...

can you reproduce the issue in a recent nightly build?

Installing a nightly build is easy - just click the Download link at the top of the menu at right of this page, then scroll down to where the nightly builds are.
Voice 2 seems to amount to 3 beats, so I think that bar is corrupt?
I would delete the Voice 2 notes and enter them again (not using copy/paste).
I re-entered the Voice 2 notes to correct the corrupt bar.
I also changed the volta in accordance with how it's placed visually (it will correctly playback and export to other formats, etc). In the original file, if you double-click the first volta and click on the square at the right, the perforated line stops is at the previous bar (use shift and left/right to move it).

yes i could fix it reentering the 2nd voice. But it was something like a bug, right?
i did not know how to place the volta but i do now :)

But all i get is this:

It's always best to say which version/build of MS and which OS you use. Bugs are only going to be fixed in version 2.0 and not earlier versions.
Using MS 1.2, ubuntu 12.04, I can reproduce the crash but I can also fix it - swap Voices 1 and 2, swap 2 1nd 3, swap 1 and 3 and delete unwanted rests. It is probably a bug related to the ability to show Voices without rests.
