I imagine there would be a bit of work to do but by selecting "Languages" it should open the corresponding page (currently it seems random).
Not very important, one of the things to do on a rainy day...

(in fact there is too much snow in the places where I volunteer on Saturdays)
When I mentioned the little flags I had in mind something like this: (see attachment) when you choose another flag opens the corresponding page in the country.

Flags are not really user friendly. French is often represented with the flag of France, but is spoken in Quebec, in Switzerland, in Belgium, many areas in Africa etc.... Same for the flag of Belgium, there are 3 official languages in Belgium, French, Flemish and German. I'm sure we can find a lot more examples. So mapping a country flag with a language is probably not a good idea.

and thanks for the observation.
Next to the name of the online users, if they set their country in the profile, may be an indication to the most appropriate page to visit for a possible deepening.
How for the families of musical instruments the same may be possible for the language groups (Chordophones, Aerophones - Francophone, Anglophone).

Sometimes I think out loud ;-). One idea suggests another, on large numbers can jump out of something reusable (serendipity).

For each page, the language switcher will try to find the translated versions of that page. If it doesnt find a translation, it will default on the homepage. A page like the tracker is a special case since it's not a translatable page. I will look if I can improve this as well. In any case the initial reported issue should be resolved.

Indeed. It works fine now for translatable pages. But for non translatable pages, I don't see added value anymore to make this work. Tell me otherwise.

Btw for the website redesign (scheduled for 2.0) I have the following in mind: in the footer of the site, one will be able to switch localized version of the site, while for each translatable page, there will be a specific mention that this page is also available in [these] languages. With [these] being the languages which can be parsed from the language preferences of the client's browser.
