Color each voice line on the same staff?
Coloring each voice part is very useful in clarifying voice lines when parts cross. Is this feature available in MuseScore)

Right click-> Select more Same Voice;
F8 Inspector set the color?

You way should work too, not require a plugin and give more freedom in chosing the color

Is there a way to select the entire voice in the score?
Clicking every note is too burdensome.

As mentioned, start by right clicking (meaning, clicking with the right as opposed to left mouse button - could be two finger tap or ctrl+click if you have only a single button). A popup menu appears, one item on it is Select. Click that, then More, then a dialog pops up allowing you to select "Same voice". This selects all notes in the same voice as the original.
