Need "swipe" graphic
Hi,
I'm working on a jazz score, and I need a graphic to depict a "swipe" - usually performed by trumpets with partial valves, and woodwinds by partial hole coverings. It's kind of like an arpeggio but done in a continuous change of pitch. Example is the starting clarinet swipe in Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Most often notated as a curved ascending arc connecting the lowest and highest pitches of the swipe.
Thanks for your help!

Best way to do that now is use a slur and reshape it to suit. Or, if you don't need it to curve (and thee's really particular reason it would have to) you could use a line.
2.0 will have special shapes just for this purpose.
Thanks for the info. Can't wait for v2.0.
Another question - is it possible to extract the graphic files from a specific pallet so as to edit one. Specifically, I am looking to remove the "gliss" text from the diagonal glissando symbol. Also to use in a jazz chart.
Thanks again.

1. Enter the gliss into your score from the palette (Arpeggio and Glissando).
2. Right click on the gliss symbol to reveal the context menu.
3. Click 'Glissando Properties', then uncheck the 'Show text' box.
