You want x+1 bar in the 1st line and x bars in any subsequent line? If so: select 2nd bar, shift-ctrl-end, then run the plugin Break every x measures

It doesn't seem to work for me. I have 2 bars/system and I want at the 2 last ones to have 3 bars/system. Is it more clear now?

If you set "Fix number of measures/system" to 2 then no you can't break that rule. You will have to turn that off and either manually place line/page breaks, or use the plugin "Break every X measures". It's more manual but it's under your control.

remove all manual line breaks, add one every 2nd resp. 3rd bar to your likings, make sure to have disabled (by setting to 0) the fixed bars per System in the style Settings

Thanks, I deleted the fix number bar/system and I used the stretch from layout and the manual line break. It worked!
I'm sorry I don't understand your problem.
Please will you explain it better, also quoting your computer Operating System and MuseScore version.
