Changing an instrument in a piece??
I have searched, but I can't find out what I have done wrong. I have found a piece and changed the Cello to a Bflat clarinet.
I appear to have transposed it, however when I press the concert pitch button it is as it was originally. So the playback is still the same and the notes are red. GreensleevesHEFF2017.mscz
I don't seem to be getting on very well with the handbook :(

How did you transpose it? The right way would have been to use Staff Properties / Change Instrument. Then it would have set the transposition correctly for Concert Pitch mode. I'm guessing you did something else. But anyhow, it you go back to that dialog and do it again - this time choose "Bb Clarinet" but not messing with the "Play Transposition" filed - that part of the problem will be fixed. Now you'll just have music that is two low for clarinet, and you'll need to select it all and hit Ctrl+Up to move it up an octave. A few notes will still be too low, simply because clarinet can't play as low as a cello; you'll have to decide for yourself what to o about them.
