Percussion instruments -
Hello,
I'm still learning to use Musescore, although I was quite familiar with Encore.
My question about percussion instruments is regarding the difference between them and the 'real' world.
Example: a snare, in jazz, is completely different from a snare in a military band. However, I can't find a military snare.
Same for cymbals. A symphonic orchestra cymbal is quite different from a jazz one...
Could someone please give me some light.
Thanks.

Make sure you have selected 'All instruments'
Take a look at the soundfont

Pay attention to: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/drum-notation
' Note: In MuseScore 2.1, some of the pitches in the Tenor Drums instrument do not play back; there is a DRM file designed to fix this, which you can download here.'

Thank you, Shoichi (-san?).
Could you recommend a sound font that has more classical and military band percussion, please.
I'll endeavor to install it, although at 76 I may have to ask my granddaughter to help me...
Actually, the default soundfont includes a few different options. Go to View / Mixer and check which sound you are using - there are a variety of "kits" available for jazz, classical, etc. For marching percussion, these shoudl already be set up for you if you added the marching version of the instrument in the first place.

Thank's, Marc. Yes, the trick is "in the first place". If one starts with the wrog instrument, change is not possible. Right?
