Compilation of 2.0 on ubuntu requires libjack-dev; bitwig studio, skype and others have to be removed
When I follow the instructions on http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/compilation/compile-instruc… I have to install libjack-dev at some point. It has to remove jack2, bitwig studio, skype... is there a way to circumvent this?

This is probably more a question for the Ubuntu support. For everything concerning the current development version, it's better to use the Tech preview forum

I compile nightly with Mint16 (=Ubuntu 13.10) and
libjack-dev is not installed
jack2, bitwig studio are unknown to synaptic
skype is installed
In reply to indeed, to be discussed by Ubuntu by robert leleu
Lets postpone this discussion until after the release of ubuntu 14.04 because this might be solved by that time.
In my Linux Mint 13 environment I am using the following jack libraries:
libjack-jackd2-0
libjack-jackd2-dev
instead of libjack-dev and libjack0 libraries, and MuseScore works ok also with them.

With Mint 16
libjack-jackd2-0 is installed
libjack-jackd2-dev is not.
