No audio.
I downloaded several different scores and played them. They "play", because the marker moves, but there is no audio. My laptop has Windows Vista and the volume is at 100%. Sound from other sources plays just fine (Youtube, CNN, etc). There is not even a volume button on MuseScore that I can find. Suggestions appreciated.

...can be found under menu item: Display / Play Panel - where you can adjust the slider to increase/decrease the score's volume. (The keyboard shortcut to display the Play Panel is F11.)
Also, under menu item: Display / Mixer - to adjust individual instruments. (Keyboard shortcut is F10.)
If you need more help, attach one of the problem scores to your post. Also, mention what version of MuseScore you are using.
