Unable to upload files
I have .xml/.mxl and .mid files from another scorewriter that I would like to upload to Musescore. I'm working from both Android and Chromebook. None of MuseScore's apps (why isn't there just one app?) allow me to upload my files from those devices. "import .mxl/mid/etc" on the upload page in browser leads to directions that don't work. The other screen to upload only supports .mscz files, which of course I do not have. I've had a friend try uploading from browser on a Windows PC and was also unable to upload. What do I need to do to upload files? Is there any way to convert them to .mscz so MuseScore will accept them?

You can open an .xml or .mxl file in MuseScore, save it as a MuseScore file and save it online. You can actually save it online directly from MuseScore. MuseScore.com only accepts .mscz (compressed Musescore) files. This is the default format MuseScore files are saved in.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/install-chromebook to load it on your Chromebook.

That's the problem. I can't upload or open any of my files in MuseScore. It gives me an error message when I follow the import directions in the import option on the upload screen.
As for installing MuseScore on Chrome, I'm not adept enough technologically nor dedicated enough to this site to bother with Linux. The other option listed only allows creating - not uploading - scores on MS. That's useless to me since I already have the scores created.

I would like to upload to Musescore(com?) Could you attach here your *.xml score?

Hi again, I uploaded the score using the file you gave me, and while the sheets seemed to have uploaded and converted without a problem, the playback ends abruptly at measure 48, about 1 minute into the piece.

and I'm including the mscz file in case you've deleted it. Would you be able to tell me what's wrong with this? Thank you in advance.

You've set the play count of measure 47 to 1, so it doesn't do the repeat at all.
Why that results in to stop there is beyond me, but it is not just on musescore.com, also in the MusesScore program itself. However, MuseScore 2.2 seems to fix that

Thank you kindly for fixing that for me. I didn't create that file, but the original .mxl played through just fine. Odd. I have no idea how to make Musescore work properly on non-Mac and PC devices, despite the instructions in the FAQ. It's strange that they can't make a simple way to upload and convert files from any device. Anyway, thank you again and I hope you have a great day!
