Layout Format

I have a score with 4 measures in each of the lines. The last measure of the first and the second line has an end repeat. I realized I didn’t need the first 3 measures of the 2nd line, so I deleted them and made a second ending of the 4th measure. Now that measure stretches across the entire page. I tried decreasing the stretch from the layout menu and from the measure properties dialogue box, but neither did anything. I would like to shorten that measure and get the first 3 measures of the 3rd line to move up to the 2nd line. Can anyone tell me how to do that?
