Hi, gang!!!

When we export something from MIDI Standard files... Is there a way to get MuseScore avoids the too extra additional lines, up or down, the standard 5 lines "pentagram"???

I mean... There are some melodic parts when some instrument (let's say horns) go far beyond (up or down) the standard 5 lines "G" stave.

I don't know if there is some automatic way to ask MuseScore takes those parts and put "inside" the standard 5 lines range with the typical 8th symbol.

Is there something like that??? How???

MuseScore does not automatically keep notes in the staff, but you can move them onto the staff (pentagram) and enter the ottava (8--- with the end pointed down or 8---- with the end pointed up) that will move the pitch an octave in the correct direction. FYI, 8--- with the end pointed down will move the tone above the staff and will be displayed above the staff. The 8--- with the end pointed up will move the tone below the staff and will appear below the staff.
