Clapping on musescore

• Jun 6, 2018 - 18:57

In my opinion, the “clapping” option on musescore is too dramatic and pitchy. Is that better shoichi?
Also, there are no accélérandos or ritardandos, so that really sucks bad cuz I wanna do schtuff and it won’t let me. Everything in wrong with musescore. There should be an easier way to make an audio copy.
Luv u Shiochi! XOXO

I assume you mean, the sound provided for either "hand clap" or "applause" in the default soundfont provided? These are pretty standard sound used in lots of synthesizers, but if you find a soundfont who sounds you prefer, feel free to use that instead. See the Handbook under "Soundfont" to learn how to use alternate soundfonts.

As for accel or ritard, you are welcome to add those or any other text indications to your score and they will displa and print just fine. It is true the playback feature doesn't support this by default, but see Download / Plugins above for a way of getting that to happen.

If there are other things you are having trouble figuring out how to do, just ask - chances are the feature is there and you just haven't found it yet, and we're always happy to help here.

Not sure what you mean about making an audio copy, though. Assuming you mean, you want to create a WAV or MP# file, that's as easy as File / Export.

But do keep in mind, the primary purpose of MuseScore is notation, not playback, so any number of things might not be optimized for playback.
