Muting Notes
Ok everyone this has probably been asked before and is as simple as breathing, but I am working on a song that in verse three and four are the same notes except there is a slide to start the verse 4 if i repeat from verse 3 to verse for is there a way to mute the notes for the slide but have them play for verse 4 or would it be just as easy to extend the score and not have a repeat between verse 3 and 4.

Not knowing what else is in the song my first answer is that you cannot change the way things sound from one repetition to the next in MuseScore.
It is possible there is a notation or just some text that will tell the musician/singer what to do.
Have you considered using voltas? You can set the first volta to 1-3 times through and the second to the 4th time through. I'm not sure if this will work since I'm not sure the slide is in the last few measures of the verse.
