Multimeasure Rests for Measures Excluded from Measure Count
Is there anyway to create multimeasure rests made up of measures excluded from measure count? Pressing "M" or checking the create multimeasure rest box does not work on measures excluded from the measure count. For example, I am inputting a piece which begins with measures labeled A-Z, then starts at measure 1. The cello does not play in the A-Z section, but I can't figure out how to create multimeasure rests through that section.

It's really extra work to exclude each measure (34) from measure count, and not the good way (as you observe).
I cleared all this setting. Instead of this, for the wished result, do:
measure 35: right-click -> Measure properties -> "Add to measure number" : set to negative value, - 34 -> Ok
Press now "M".
