For bowing, use the advanced palette (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palettes-and-workspaces#preset-palett… if you don't know how to open it). I have shortcuts assigned to bowing articulations set in preferences (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#shortcuts for more info).
