Composing a Piano Sonata, want all 4 movements in the score
So I usually compose the individual movements separately not just timing wise but as separate scores. This works but I was wanting to have all 4 movements in the score this time. So, how do I go about this? I was thinking a 1 measure pause between the movements would be fine. After all, that gives time for the pianist to turn the page if he/she has to. So how do I do this? Would I simply insert a page break at the 1 measure pause? Of course, I would want to make that measure invisible if possible so that it doesn't look as though there is that 1 measure pause?
So like this:
Compose first movement
Append a measure if I have to
Page break at the empty measure
and so on until I reach the fourth movement where I just compose the movement?

Don't do the extra measure between movements, use a section break. It lets you restart the measure count, show all of the long instrument names, does not force unwanted courtesy time and key signatures at the end of the last movement and has a default 3 second pause built in. You can change many of these options by right clicking it and selecting section break properties.
