Not sure, what you expect it should sound, one way is by using slurs (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/slurs). Above it's possible to adjust the playback of the note length/overlapping notes with the piano roll editor: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/piano-roll-editor.
