Can you change the string tuning without changing the tab?

I want to change the string tuning of a tab in GP4 format, however, whenever I go to change it, It changes the tabs entirely in an effort to keep the notes the same. Can I change just the tuning without changing the tabs? (EADGBE to CGCFAD)
