Wrong number of notes/rests per bar
It's only when I open the newly completed file when it tells me two bars contain the wrong number of beats, but I already knew that. The strange thing is that the program won't allow me to correct it. As soon as I try to add in an appropriate rest to bring it up to the required number (in this case 6/8) it simply shoves one or more notes into the next bar so that now I have an extra badly formed bar. I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Part of the problem was in trying to write note-rest-note with the program insisting on writing note-note-rest, so I was obliged to do a number of deletions, which caused this mess in the first place. I still don't understand how it can write a bar without the correct number of notes unless I write a new key sig.. I'm going to try to attach the file. I don't think it's well written anyway - rather jerky - but that seemed to be the way the lady who wants me to accompany her singing wants it to be - sigh.
