Problems with placing things

I don't know whether or not this is bug or something, but for whatever reason whenever I go into "Repeats and Jumps" for example, and I attempt to place D.C. al Fine over a selected not by double tapping D.C. al Fine, it won't place it. I have tried dragging it over but although I can drag it, it never actually places it. If someone knows why or can fix the problem then please let me know. Thanks!
